Fix Your Shit 12

Fix Your Shit 12
Posted on November 14, 2025

I’ve identified my goals and what I wanted in a partner early in my life and journey to achieve my goals, dreams, and visions.

Mine were support in what I’m doing to provide for the family. Believe in my dreams so we could work together for the end result we both wanted. Share your thoughts and what we both need to do to achieve this. Be my travel partner and enjoy the sights and life’s experiences — and love the water.

I’m sure there are more, but this is a good start. Do you have yours written down or have you talked about it? It’s important to share your thoughts along with your goals, dreams, and visions so all parties can agree on what the plan is to achieve them.

As I went through my career journey, there were many times I asked for support but had not been clear or was misunderstood. Talking to folks, I find this is a common thing among relationships — and the breakdown starts to affect your ability to have open, honest communication with your partner.

Partner is key in a relationship — the foundation of trust and honest openness to discuss the situation without defensive responses or trying to protect or defend your point, which should be clear from the start of the relationship.

How many times have you told someone your desires, and they agree, but they don’t seem to realize you meant it — that you intend to follow your goals, dreams, and vision?

It’s so important to stay on your path toward your goals in life — focusing on self-enrichment and growth, even when the world gets in the way of your focus.

Ever hear “life got in the way of life”?

In our previous blogs, we talked about goals, self-growth, and trying to fix your shit on so many levels — like a journal to keep track of your progress, not others! Your goals, your actions, not the judging of others, but self-accountability.

Try writing your own mission statement and outline what you want — and what you want in a relationship or partner.

This is a short one but so important to happiness with self and others so everyone has no complaint about the end result. Take responsibility for your part in the relationship!

Live well, God bless you, and thanks for visiting the Planet.
